Prince William had two reasons to celebrate on Sunday. Not only did he enjoy spending Father’s Day with his three children – Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 5, and Prince Louis, 2, – but he also celebrated his 38th birthday. To mark the big day, the Kensington Palace Instagram page shared some new photos that were taken by Kate Middleton.

The family shared the first photo on Saturday, and it featured Prince William sitting on a swing surrounded by his three children at their country estate in Norfolk, Anmer Hall. In the image, William held Louis in his lap, while George stood up behind him and Charlotte stood beside her dad while smiling big for the camera.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared two more photos on Sunday that featured Prince William and his kids having fun and playing around while the kids piled on top of their dad.

To celebrate Father’s Day, the Kensington Royal account also shared a sweet shot of Prince William and his dad, Prince Charles, which was also taken by Kate Middleton. And, they shared a photo from Middleton’s childhood that featured her sitting on her dad Michael’s lap.

“Happy Father’s Day!” read the caption. “1. The Duke of Cambridge with The Prince of Wales at Sandringham in December 2019 2. Michael Middleton with his daughter Catherine.”

William, Kate and the kids have been spending their time during the COVID-19 pandemic in isolation at their country home. The Duke and Duchess stopped making public appearances in March, but continued their work via video chat and phone calls.

This past week, the duo made their first in-person visits since the UK lockdown was lifted. William visited frontline healthcare workers to thank them for everything they did during the pandemic. Later in the week, William and Kate visited two separate small businesses to find out how they were affected by the lockdowns.

Prince William visited Smiths The Bakers in King’s Lynn, which is close to Anmer Hall, and he shared with the owners how his kids have discovered their love of cooking during quarantine.

“The children have been attacking the kitchen and it’s just been an explosion of flour and chocolate everywhere,” said William, according to the Belfast Telegraph. “I can’t come in here and not buy anything, so have you got any pain au chocolat at all?” he asked, before joking, “My children will not talk to me if I turn up without enough.”
